Community Social Investment
Growing Communities, Not Just Crops.
At Nkhuna Agricultural, we believe that a thriving farm must be rooted in a thriving community. Our CSI programme invests in the people and places that make our work possible.
Our Commitment to Community
Nkhuna Agricultural has always understood that our success is inseparable from the wellbeing of the communities around us. From Bronkhorstspruit to the wider Gauteng region, we invest in people — through employment, education, infrastructure, and local development.
Our CSI programme is not a box to tick — it is a core part of who we are. With over 1,900 permanent staff and deep roots in the local community, we take our responsibility seriously and act on it every year.
Our Initiatives
CSI Focus Areas
Local Employment
We prioritise hiring from local communities in and around Bronkhorstspruit. Over 1,900 permanent positions provide stable income, skills development, and long-term livelihoods for families across the region.
Education & Skills Development
We support education initiatives in local schools and invest in skills training for our staff — from agricultural techniques to safety, literacy, and leadership development.
Community Infrastructure
Nkhuna Agricultural contributes to local infrastructure projects — supporting access roads, water access, and community facilities that benefit both our staff and the broader community.
Environmental Stewardship
We manage our land with the long-term health of the environment in mind — protecting water sources, maintaining natural vegetation buffers, and reducing our environmental footprint year on year.
Food Security
Through our farming operations and supply network, we contribute directly to South Africa's food security — ensuring that quality, affordable produce reaches households across the country.
Youth & Agriculture
We actively engage young people in agriculture — offering exposure to modern farming practices and creating pathways for the next generation of South African farmers and agri-professionals.
Partner with Us on Community Impact
We welcome conversations with NGOs, government bodies, and community organisations who share our commitment to building stronger, more resilient communities in South Africa.
